SERVICE IS WHO I AM

I grew up serving my country, 27 years in Military, 20 years working in Medical, 5 years in Education, 5 years in Public Lands

It has been my Honor to serve my country as a Combat Medic / FMF Corpsman and as a Board Certified Respiratory Therapist

29th Infantry Division, Long history of service to include D-Day. Its The Ying-Yang Patch for a unit formed to include Northern and Southern states. Legacy from the Civil War to be inclusive to all Americans. This was my Unit, when I deployed to Katrina, and My Combat Patch in Afghanistan

We are at the bridge of Two World, Native American-Indigenous and European Colonist. It will always be a challenge to honor both traditions and cultures. But that is what make Washington a great place to live , sharing both worlds

I have come to appreciate all that Washington has to offer, its people, and its resources

With all that comes with living in this Beautiful state comes commitment to the land and its people

With Community comes responsibility to all,

Travis Manion Foundation refers to the phrase

“ IF NOT ME, THEN WHO “

I can not stand by

We Face so many challenges these days, there is no simple fix, it takes dedication and team work, commitment, and compassion

Problems that can not be solved just like a business

We need to address Drug Dependency and the price of necessary medications

Air Quality is complex and will be a long-term problem; we need the courage to solve this problem, it's not just about Climate Change. It’s about clean air to breathe so we don’t have everyone with Asthma or other Respiratory Disease

Problems that can only be solved by a dedicated Team; people are not commodities, you do not treat them as a business, you treat them with compassion, honor, integrity, and respect

We have got to take on Homelessness, Cost of Housing, and keeping people in their Homes

Problems that take People to Work Together

I SHALL LIVE UP TO THE CODE WE HAD IN MILITARY-NOT TO LIE -CHEAT -OR STEAL.

Part of Who I Am is about Integrity, so here it is saying you live up to a standard means you can pass a background check, maybe several. So if you ever want to see just how dedicated I am to doing the right thing, staying on the right side of the law, having respect for the Law and those that PROTECT AND SERVE.

TO RESPECT ALL, LISTEN, AND SERVE OTHERS BEFORE MYSELF

It is this DEDICATION to my community, my state, the Country, and the World that I had dedicated my life to serving

It takes dedication to go into a war zone, to put your life out there for everyone else,

To be a CORPSMAN / MEDIC was the PROUDEST THING I COULD EVER HAVE DONE FOR MY FELLOW MAN

Do You Remember This Man ?

President Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the United States

Why am I showing him?

While he was Not Perfect, he had lots of faults, I remember him as a President who at least tried to maintain Honor, Integrity, and Honesty. The Republican Party is a long way from living up to the legacy of this President.

THEY MUST DO BETTER

We Need a higher standard to live by

Obama Set one of the standards of what strength looks like -and did it with Compassion
